QUOTE='DanielDust'Most of the community says 3. For me 4 was the 3:P, but the best is 5 imo, the fun never stops in it, even after 10 hours straight on a single map. Kozzy1234 Thanks for the post man!

Ill try to pick up 4 or 5:D I'll post the edit too: If you have money to spend, definitely get the Complete Collection, it's worth it. The gathering storm was the best expansion for 4, i loved it, but the other one is good too. And V all of them are good, especially Tribes of the East, it's the only game I actually enjoy playing with the orks. I don't know if there is a pack with all of the V series, the game + both of the expansions, but there is one with Heroes V and Hammer of Fate. Still imo you should get the Complete Collection if you can:P only the book that is included is worth 1/4 of the price and you get all the Vth series and IVth for almost nothing + heroes 3 that most of the community loves, II and I don't really matter anymore.

I am intrigued by this 'Heroes Of Might And Magic'! I was over at my friend's house the other day and he showed me a bit of one of the games (don't remember which one though), and it looked pretty fun. I guess I should go check it out? QUOTE='DanielDust'Definitely:P it's the best TBS there is. Forerunner-117 Haha really? Awesome, I'll go look for a demo or some gameplay vids or something.
Or should I just buy the Collection immediately?:P Well you should try the demo first and see if you like it (TBS are boring for some) and if you do like it for someone that didn't play any game from the series the Complete Collection would be the best thing to get:P, because the whole series is awesome. Be careful NOT to get some might and magic demo, because that one is a cheap trial to make 2 games out of one. DanielDust Hahaha, okay I'll do that. I think I'll like it though since like I said, my friend showed me a bit of one of the games, and it seemed fun, and I really enjoyed Civ2 and stuff so TBS is awesome IMO. In fact, sometimes I get pwned just because of the speed of RTS.:P.
Just curious though, what does III do better than V? Again, I haven't played any of the games, so I have no experience with any of them. It just seems like the newer one would logically be better than the older one, but as I know, that's definitely not always the case, so I wanted to see what you guys think.:) Forerunner-117 3's easier on the system. Actually, it's probably old enough it'll be tough to run fullscreen or widescreen. It's got very nice, coherent, pretty 2d graphics and sprites. It's pretty bug-free, there's two billion maps for it and a random map maker that's decent, and the balance of factions in the game and the way everything works just.
5 felt like it did its best to copy 3 and do pretty 3d.:D there's probably free demos for both games out there if you look on fileshack or fileplanet or something. Heroes III is not only hands down the best installment in the series, but one of the best games ever made. Heroes V is great too, but it's basically Heroes III in 3D.
Heroes IV was a huge and complete disappointment. Every change they made was for the worse, the art was meh, the towns were hideous, fog of war was an incredibly stupid addition, you couldn't upgrade your creatures.bah, I get angry just by thinking about it. Overall, even today, Heroes III is the best. The 2D graphics still look fantastic thanks to the stellar art-styIe, it sports the most polished addictive gameplay the series is known for, it has the best maps.gah, now I want to install it!
